JOY

We were so lucky to have two little munchkins underfoot over the weekend! Steve and Tracy brought a houseful of joy to our place as we shared our traditional Pre- Christmas time together. Camden is mesmerized by sharks and thought he should wear his shark shirt for their trip. I believe that he told Tracy that he might get bit by one and need 15 bandaids. And when Zach arrived home, they rummaged through his closet to find a shark shirt for Zach to wear, too. Whoops, Sela decided that she wanted to join the boys in a photo. First things first. Grandma thought that the kids needed crocs for the beach. Afterall, they are my shoe of choice. Nothing is more adorable than little kids wearing crocs. Plus, they can put them on by themselves and rinse off easy. Steve decided he should have a pair, too. Group shot of the croc converts. I was amazed how much Camo remembered from their last December trip but of course, I give his Momma credit for that. She is very good at keeping us and our photos in the kids face. Thank you for that, Tracy. So this year some traditions were born as we repeated the memories in this little boy's mind. They arrived just in time for a walk on the beach and a spectacular sunset. Camo was cautious with the water, especially after one wave slapped "refreshing " water up his legs. Not sure what his reaction would be but he just turned and smile! They both loved God's huge sandbox to play in and treated the sand like snow when snow angels were drawn on their tummies. Both kids were kissed with sand as we journeyed back home. One final shot. Oh, life is good when you live across the street from the beach. Grandpa kept the kids entertained with his ipad as supper was prepared. After dinner, how lucky was I to have someone want to help me with dishes? The bubbles are a huge draw! And then the nightly ritual began. Baths, flashlight hide go seek and bedtime stories. We all went to bed with smiles on our faces and joy in our hearts.
