TOGETHERNESS

What better way for Gene to spend Father's Day than a few days back in Iowa spending time with his children and grand babies.Do you ever return from a trip or an event and regret the missed photos? It is so rare that Gene comes back to Iowa. I am trying to be better at living in the moment and not through my lens but darn, I missed some photos that I may never have the chance to get again or at least for awhile. Missed the photo with Tracy and Mike with their Dad. Missed the one of all the grandkids in a family shot. What was I thinking? There is always photoshop! Is it ethical to piece two photos together?! Could not believe how much Lily has changed in a month. Four months old. She has filled out and the smiles are readily available. This was the trip where Gene and Lily met. Instant bonding. He could not get enough of our newest baby girl.Cuddle time was plentiful. It did not matter if she cried or spit up, she stuck like glue to her grand daddy's arms and heart. Loved spending one morning at Tracy's house with Camo and Sela. Since it was less than a month since my last visit, we did not have to spend time getting reacquainted. Sela is walking all over the place and the little squeaks coming from her shoes were adorable. Camo is such a sensitive, smart little guy who amazes me with his reasoning. He is being trained up in the Lord and is inquisitive as to who loves Jesus right now? His Mom tells me we are featured in his little prayers and rightfully so. Camo, you are in mine, too. It was such a joyful day to spend the day with both Tracy and Mike and watch them in their roles as parents. They are doing an incredible job and make us so proud!
